Date: Friday 11th July 2025
Location: Palace of Westminster
On 11 July, I have the honour of attending a special event at the Palace of Westminster, described by the organisers as “an unforgettable evening dedicated to the remarkable individuals who safeguarded and upheld Parliamentary democracy during World War Two.”
It is a privilege to be invited to such an auspicious occasion, where the legacy of those who defended democracy will be remembered and celebrated. I will use this unique opportunity to continue raising awareness of the knife crime epidemic in the UK and to promote the vital work behind the TRACK system.
While democracy was fiercely protected during the war, I believe it’s essential to ask: what value does that democracy hold if young lives continue to be lost within it — taken by knives on our streets? My message will reflect on this stark reality, aiming to engage with key figures in attendance and make a lasting impression for the sake of meaningful change.
Connah's Quay Summer Festival
Date: Saturday 28th June 2025
Location: Wepre Park, Connah's Quay, Flintshire, North Wales
Edwin Duggan will be attending this year's Connah's Quay Summer Festival with his anti-knife crime awareness stall, continuing his mission to tackle knife crime and save lives. As part of his ongoing outreach, Edwin will be promoting the TRACK system — a simple, effective method designed to help anyone feel confident in knowing what to do if they come across a stabbing incident and how to treat and reassure the victim until proper help arrives.
Visitors will have the chance to learn more about the campaign, pick up educational resources, and ask questions about first-response techniques that could make the difference in those crucial moments after a knife injury.
"I’m very much looking forward to meeting the community and sharing tools that could one day help save a life," says Edwin.
